About Sorvetes Jundiá
With more than 25,000 points of sale and thousands of consumers in various states of our country, Sorvetes Jundiá is one of the largest ice cream manufacturers in Brazil, but for all this growth to be possible, in addition to the talent of its managers and the potential of the business, the company has bet on technology.

Challenge
The organization had only one technological solution in all its branches and this caused serious operational problems, because links had to be changed manually.
"We had a box set up with a simple desktop in each branch and we configured access and VPNS there. Everything was done manually. When a link went down, we had to upload the second link manually. What's more, when this box burned down, we had to set up another one and, in the meantime, the unit was at a standstill," says Sergio Bergamini, IT Director at Sorvetes Jundiá.
Faced with downtime, wasted time and the need to train employees to change links, the ice cream company needed an automated SGS solution, an acronym for Managed Security Service, that would dispense with manual contact from the internal team and constant assistance from the providers, as well as, of course, the confidence that the operation would continue to function.
"In Brazil, link failures are common. A link that's good now can go down in less than five minutes, so making this change manually and constantly became complicated. Sometimes we used external links and the team did it remotely, but often we were only able to make the change on site," says Sergio.
Solution
Our partnership with Sorvetes Jundiá began in 2007, when we implemented a range of cloud solutions, such as data centralization, backup, disaster recovery and machine virtualization.
Faced with the challenge of downed links, Sorvetes Jundiá contacted add it Cloud Solutions again and we implemented a Managed Security Service with Fortinet firewalls.
There are currently seven Sorvetes Jundiá branches working with Fortinet's solution and each unit has two links, as well as the head office with 4 links, VPNs and point-to-point links and a WiFi network.
In this sense, the company also had problems with its previous network solution, which no longer met the capacity of the operation due to the rapid expansion that Jundiá was undergoing. For this reason, add it also implemented a more robust and scalable network infrastructure.
Results
With the adoption of the first cloud technologies, Sorvetes Jundiá began a very effective process of digital transformation, which helped to expand internal capacity, increase service agility, minimize costs and boost information processing.
With the innovation and implementation of Fortinet's Managed Security Service (SGS), Sorvetes Jundiá also achieved greater stability and automated the entire infrastructure, promoting greater effectiveness and security.
"We needed more networks and greater control, and with the previous alternative we didn't have this functionality, in addition to the lack of integration with the solutions we were using. Today we use Fortinet with automatic balancing and switching and, thanks to add it Cloud Solutions, we've solved all the issues," concludes Sergio Bergamini.
